Attivare tutti gli strumenti previsti dai trattati europei per proteggere e aiutare l’industria del legno che, dato l’imminente divieto russo di esportare tronchi verso le industrie europee del legno, dovrà affrontare problemi seri che andranno ad aggravare una situazione già molto complicata, dovuta alla mancanza di materie prime e all’impennata dei prezzi.

La fornitura di materie prime è diventata sempre più complessa: gli imballaggi in legno, i pallet, i pannelli sono ogni giorno di più merce rara e le aziende stanno lottando per rispettare i contratti e gli ordini con i clienti. Gli imprenditori sono seriamente preoccupati per i prossimi mesi e molti di loro temono di dover interrompere le produzioni a causa dell’impossibilità di trovare la materia prima utile per continuare le loro attività.

La decisione della Russia non farà altro che aggravare un quadro già molto complesso. Crediamo – conclude FederlegnoArredo – che solo una risposta coordinata a livello europeo possa aiutare la nostra industria a superare questo momento critico. Ovviamente la nostra Federazione è a disposizione delle istituzioni europee per un confronto costruttivo, volto a trovare quanto prima una soluzione a tutela di un’industria che vale 16 miliardi di euro di export”.

Questa la richiesta di FederlegnoArredo inviata con una lettera dal presidente Claudio Feltrin al vice presidente della Commissione europea Valdis Dombrovskis, dopo che la medesima richiesta è stata avanzata anche da otto associazioni di categoria europee.
